Buying Character Slots Without a Linked Plaync Account
Hey. I've just emailed support asking how I can link my plaync account to my already existing guildwars account. I've been told it is not possible if I already have an active guildwars account.
I've been told(on another thread somewhere around here) that you don't need the accounts linked to buy character slots, and you just log into your plaync account via guildwars client and voila, you buy the slots for the account your logged in on. Please can anyone confirm this? Thanks Ashleigh |

While it's unavailable atm, you log into GW and on the Character Selection screen there was a "Enter Store" button. Once you clicked on it you were taken to the store. You did not need to go to plaync to do this (they never even had it up on their website).
I think I know what you are talking about. When I first heard about the store I went to PlayNC's store and it said it needed me to add my GW serial code there and link it to my PlayNC account, but that it could not be done if GW was already activated. You do this essentially ingame, or atleast inclient. Not from a website. Again, it's temporarily unavailable. |

Ok Thanks.
I've heard you have an option to create a plaync account or use an existing one. Will I be able to use my existing one that DOESN'T have the game linked to that in any way( already put my code on my account before making plaync account) Thanks Ashleigh |

Ok thanks
So basically it means if I log into my play nc account(which is not linked to GW) on the gw client and buy a slot, it goes to the Gw account i'm logged in on? |

I know the store is currently unavailable, but does anyone know if there was a time while it was up that you could actually purchase more character slots?
If so how much were they? Also does anyone know if it's possible to buy them some other way. The thing is I would like to try out the new characters for this weekend, but all my slots are full and though a couple of them are only 2-3rd level, they all have dragon masks, and I'd kinda like to keep them if I can... If there isn't a way to do this, does anyone know when the store will be available again? Livingston |

If you have no slots open, there are two things you can do at this point. Delete one (which I don't recommend because the store could be open within hours for all we know), OR, as someone found out in a thread around here, if you remember your logon email and password for the secondary "test" account we could use for the Factions Preview Event, you can log on and create characters using the Paragon/Dervish. Otherwise, ya gotta wait |

Could someone buy me a slot? I mean, can I buy a serial number for a slot and add it to ANY account I want? Because I don't have credit card, and maybe I can tell a friend buy one for me.

No. In order to add a slot to your account, the purchase would have to be made from within your account. So either ask a friend to loan you their credit card to make the purchase, or let a friend with a credit card log into your account to do it for you (not recommended). The slot is automatically added upon purchase. No manual key adding involved.

You do get a serial code, but it is already applied to the account used to make the purchase.

The serial number is your proof that you purchased the slot. Just like once you add the cd-key to a new chapter to your account you shouldn't need it again. But if an issue should arise, such as a slot being accidentally removed, or an account being improperly banned, you would have the proof of everything you purchased as an add-on to the account.
